Do this one thing with me

10,000 members by September 30: Are you in?

Dear Tracy,

Sometimes this world terrifies me. Syria. Gaza. Ferguson.

Rape loopholes. People executed by governments and armed groups alike.

But I refuse to be indifferent. I refuse to let the war criminals and oppressors win. I refuse to look away from human rights abuses.

If you and I want dignity and justice and human rights for all, we must defend them - right now. I support Amnesty because it brings us together to make the world a more just place. It works, and it is desperately needed.

Affirm your commitment to human rights now during Amnesty's Annual September Membership Drive. To continue uninterrupted funding of its lifesaving work, Amnesty must recruit 10,000 new and returning members by the end of this month.

Make your first donation to Amnesty today.

Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar through September 30 up to $300,000. Plus, make any donation of $50 or more OR become a monthly donor before September 30 and we'll send you a stylish Amnesty tote as a small thank you for doing just one thing for human rights.

Our work together is urgent. Your support will help us respond to pressing human rights crises:
  • Campaigning for an international arms embargo on Israel, Hamas and other armed Palestinian groups until safeguards are put in place to ensure any arms supplied won't be used to violate human rights.
  • Send research teams into conflict zones in Syria, Iraq and the Central African Republic to investigate war crimes, hold perpetrators accountable and stop violence against civilians.
  • Defending women and girls who experience gender-based violence - including ending rape loophole laws, which exempt men accused of rape from punishment if they marry the survivor.
